Do It Yourself - Chalkboard cutouts!

School is back in session! Parents everywhere have breathed a collective sigh of relief. It was a long summer, but a great one! At Gravograph, we were recently asked with coming up with some neat back-to-school/classroom related DIY projects. A customer wanted to know what they could do to combine the two using their LS100 laser engraverOur project idea: Do It Yourself Chalkboard Cutouts!
For this project, you'll need the following items:
1. 0.125" thick balsa wood
2. Chalkboard paint (We used the FolkArt brand)
3. Chalk!

The "hardest" thing about this project is making sure that the laser settings aren't to high, else it will flash burn the wood. Not that big of deal (Black paint will cover up any burns), but be aware. Watch the video below and then download the GravoStyle™ files to make your own cutouts!
