SELECTING THE RIGHT CUTTER TIP

Rotary machines can use different size cutters to engrave your material. For your cutter, there are several sizes to choose from usually ranging from .005” up to .125”. How do you know which cutter is the best one for your job?


Keep in mind, the height of your characters is directly related to the width of your cutter tip. So, for smaller fonts you would ideally use a smaller cutting tip, and vice versa. Here is a handy chart to help you select which cutter is right for you.
